| 5 easy ways to make yourself eat a salad

SALADS!!! We know need to eat them but it is sometimes a task! That crispy fried food sounds much better to us. Nonetheless, We must succumb to the salad bandwagon often. Eating raw fruits and vegetable is necessary for our health. We need the unadulterated nutrients, vitamins, enzymes, and fiber they provide. Here are some easy tips below to MAKE yourself eat a salad! 



1.Salad and Fries! Eat it with French fries or some other carb! I threw this one in there... Why? because there is some health mystery for eating French fries with salad? NO...because I do it all the time lol! Let's face it healthy options are slim at restaurants especially if you're a vegan! Salad and French fries are usually the only options at some restaurants! Looking for a fast food option is you just can't avoid that route. This is one option ...Every chain has a salad. Plus eating fries with a salad makes you feel not as bad about eating French fries. 

Rice under salad is another good carb option.

Chipotle has the best salad bowl! I get mine with rice and black beans! 


​2.Add a meat or meat alternative

Along with your great green plants that you want to eat EVERY SECOND OF EVERYDAY add a meat!  Pea protein isolate "beef”, mushrooms , pasture raised antibiotic free chicken, Beets, jackfruit etc.…There is so many options ! It makes your salad more filling and desirable ! For the meat eaters you can add grilled chicken or even buy organic pre-made salads with it  from the store . (Ex. 3.Travel the world and eat their cuisines !!

 Ok, maybe not literally but it's great to mix it up and try different salads inspired from different cultures . You can make Asian salads with things like triangle cut bell peppers, teriyaki sauce,  and bean sprouts! Or take a trip to Mexico and eat a Taco Salad! These are my favorite types of salad !! 4.Put it in a wrap

This is one of the greatest ways to mix up eating a regular salad in a bowl. When you put it in a wrap it makes you feel like you are not eating a salad. You can do this with gluten-free tortillas, rice paper sheets, and even seaweed "nori" sheets! Salads are not just iceberg lettuce. Kale, spring mix, or even just cut up vegetables are all considered types of salads. Even of these mixes can go in wraps! 


5.Put it in a smoothie 

Yes, I AM telling you to drink your salad! Greens mixed with veggies are not that noticeable! Don't go putting iceberg lettuce in your blender! Use greens like Kale, spring mix, arugala , and swiss chard. Cucumber and avocados are great in smoothies as well! Throw in your fruits and stevia for a sugar free option and your good to go!
