What is Prosperity? There are many ideologies floating around nowadays as to what prosperity is. The "Prosperity Gospel" is often seen as sermons centered around having lots of money and flashy things.
God does not frown upon the Ekklesia (Church; called out of darkness) having money or expensive things, He just doesn't want those things to have us...He wants our hearts. He wants us to want and cherish Him and reap the benefits of a personal relationship with Him. Those benefits can also include money. There are millions of things that God offers us including health, wealth, wisdom, direction, comfort, peace, joy, eternal life, etc... the list goes on and on.
A great practice for you would be to go and look up all the promises of ABBA and meditate on them. After material things fade what stands is what was built for and through God. A lot of things may seem good but true life comes from a thriving relationship with Our Heavenly Father.
Life comes to us when we know what life looks like. Life looks like what God spoke to us when He gave us that life giving prophetic word. Life looks like the revelation we got the time we saw strength from someone who was living despite all odds against them. Life looks like the personal(rhema) words we get when we pray and spend time with God and we feel so grounded afterwards. Life looks like Gods' hands that reached down and held us when we were balled up, laying on the floor crying...Life looks like Our Messiah...Jesus Christ or as I call Him by His original Hebrew name Yahushua Ha'Mashiach!
He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE! He is our healer and brings us prosperity in Health(Isaiah 53). He is our provider and brings us prosperity in wealth and abundance of resources. He is our peace, our shalom, He provides for us a sound mind and rest from chaos. He keeps us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on HIM Isaiah 26:3. When we get to know His voice and consistently seek His will everyday He will lead us. When we disobey there are consequences to our disobedience. When we obey we reap the blessings of obeying.
"Then you will prosper if you are careful to keep and fulfill the statutes and ordinances with which the Lord charged Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and of good courage. Dread not and fear not: be not dismayed. 1 Chronicles 22:13"
Prosperity is deeper than money... We all need to Prosper through our loving relationship with Christ. Through Him, we have all we need. Trust Him and follow Him wholeheartedly today and he will lead you into a life of prosperity and health in Him
