| The perception of progress

Have you ever gotten on social media and just grown sooo discontent with where you are? You start thinking about what isn't working for you, the place you're not at, the things people said to make you feel like you didn't have what it takes etc.... feelings creep in of hopelessness..... Why?

Jesus is the HOPE OF GLORY. If He is our focus then we should NOT let our minds wander off into comparison land. Instagram may make you feel like your relationship isn't great. Jesus says I am the mender and I have great things for your relationship if you follow me. Facebook may make you feel inadequate. The Word of God says, " Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God!" 2 Co 3:5.

We lose track of what will truly make us joyful and happy so many times! HIM! When you are feeling not so good about where you are, change your perception! Ask The Father where you are! Then listen for His outlook. Go deeper in reading His word! Speak His inspiring words even when you are hurting. He can speed you up, level the playing field, or show you that there is NOTHING wrong with where you are at in life.

I am almost crying writing this. I hate going around the mountain of performance over and over. Never feeling good enough always feeling like I have to do something else. This is called striving. Striving is not pleasing to God. The verse above stated that our sufficiency comes from God. Why do we focus so much on our own strength?

When our view of Longing fulfilled is off we twist this scripture....

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12.

Our Heavenly Father is the one who fills our thirsty souls. He fulfills our deepest desires. Anytime we are hurt over achieving a certain thing we give that "thing" rights to rob us....Why? Because it's not God. It won't keep all of it's promises. It will fail you at times, and it will not give you the fulfilled affirmation you need. The marriage, the job, the status, the recognizing of your Prophetic calling, etc... will NOT solve your sick heart....Opening your heart back up to the only one who can fix it and fill it will...
